Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, and is considered to be the key site for worship in the country. http://www.szgmc.ae/en/

There are 3 options for visitors of the mosque : 
1. Self - Visit - If you are a group of eight (8) or less individuals you may walk through the mosque on your own without a guided tour and take photographs.  You can also visit the library to gain a greater understanding about Islamic architecture by browsing the many publications available. 
2. Guided Tours - Every day the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center offers free guided ‘walk-in’ tours for individuals.  If you are a small group below (8) persons you do not need to pre-book and should simply arrive approximately 15 minutes before the tour time. One of our Visitor Experience Coordinators will assist you in joining a tour. Groups of (8) eight persons and above must book. (Please go to e-services page to book your tour)
3. Tour Operators - are required to book their groups at least 24 hours before the visit. 

Reminders : During the visit to the Grand Mosque, you are required to dress and to behave in an appropriate way. At the entrance, women receive an abbaya to dress on that has to be returned at the end of the visit. Mosque Manners & Dress Code. Shoes must also be removed before entering the mosque.

Friday                 4:30 pm  10:00 pm

Directions : Bus service 32 or 054 connects Zayed First Street (7th Street) with Grand Mosque.

Heritage Village

Run by the Emirates Heritage Club, this reconstruction of a traditional oasis village provides an interesting glimpse into the emirate’s past.

Traditional aspects of the desert way of life, including a campfire with coffee pots, a goats’ hair tent, and a falaj irrigation system, are attractively displayed in the open museum.

There are workshops where craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills, such as metal work and pottery, while women sit weaving and spinning. The craftsmen are happy to share their skills, and may occasionally give you the chance to try them out.

Directions : Al Marina Mall bus stop is served by services 005, 007, 009, 011, 032, 034, and 063, then you may walk or ride a cab. Heritage Village is about 1 km from Al Marina bus stop.

Al Haderra - A Special place to receive guests and show the arab hospitality.
Bait Al Hassa - It's built up of pebbles in the eastern mountain area. This house is cold in the summer & warm in the winter.
Bait Al Wahat "The Oasis House" - This house is made of the palm tree fronds in the oasis areas "Al Ain". It was inhabited by the farmer's families.

Yas Waterworld - Abu Dhabi

Directions : Go to the Abu Dhabi bus station (next to Al Wadha Mall). Then take the 190 bus to Yas Island.

The rides at the waterpark are divided into 4 categories : Adrenaline Rush rides have the highest thrill level, after that there are Exciting Adventure rides. For medium thrill level, there are Moving and Grooving rides. Lastly, the Young Fun rides are for the kids and kids at heart.
